Discoveries: Bohème Project
Bohème Project
The Atlanta Opera returns to Pullman Yards to present new interpretations of both Rent and La bohème in an exciting dual production. The Broadway smash hit Rent, inspired by La bohème, takes the same story of friendship, passion, and art in the time of a pandemic and brings it to the 1990s HIV/AIDS devastation. In conjunction, La bohème at Pullman brings the characters face to face with the COVID-19 crisis. Bohème Project, beginning with the 2024 production at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, plunges the audience into the world of young creatives facing life and death through three pandemics, across three centuries.
