Studio Tour: Rabbit Tales
The Rabbit Tales school tour of 2011-2012 was a great success, reaching hundreds of children in Georgia and presenting 60 performances at schools and community venues. Rabbit Tales is a world premiere Atlanta Opera commission.
Based on the Br’er Rabbit stories by Joel Chandler Harris, this production is a contemporary, light-hearted opera that combines several story lines from Native American, African and Cajun Folklore. Rabbit Tales was written and composed by Atlanta-based artists.
While we are no longer accepting bookings for this opera, it will be performed at Opera Family Day on Saturday, May 12th. The Atlanta Opera's 2012-2013 school tour will be announced this summer.
