Opera in the Community

Interactive and educational experiences provide an opportunity for patrons and the community to explore and experience opera together, supporting the growth of Atlanta’s arts community and that of Georgia.

The Atlanta Opera presented the 4th annual 24-Hour Opera Project® as part of National Opera Week in November. The 24-Hour Opera Project® pairs composers, lyricists, stage directors and opera singers from all over the country to create, rehearse, and perform short operas in just 24 hours!

See the craziness for yourself! Check out news coverage, photos, and videos from past presentations of the 24-Hour Opera Project®!
